Last updated June 8, 2026. Light A Cig is a free browser game. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We never sell your data.

Section 01

What we collect

We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the game and improve it. Depending on whether you play as a guest or a registered member, this may include:

  • Account data: a username, and for registered members an email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Device and region signals (only with your consent): browser, operating system, device type, language, time zone, and approximate location (country, region, city) derived from your IP address.
  • Gameplay data: progress, level, in-game cash and items, achievements, and similar state needed to save your game.
  • Local storage on your device: your settings, language, and consent choice.

Section 02

How we use it

We use this data to run the game, save your progress, keep accounts secure, prevent cheating and abuse, and improve and regionalize the experience (for example, surfacing relevant rooms or content). We do not use it for third-party advertising and we do not sell it.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, and optional analytics) to operate the game, and the free ipwho.is service to translate your IP address into an approximate location. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms; we share only what is necessary.

Section 05

Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must keep it to meet a legal obligation.

Section 06

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at contact@lightacig.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Section 07

Children

Light A Cig is not directed at children. The game depicts a fictional adult activity and is intended for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age required by your local law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. We will update the date above when we do, and significant changes will be highlighted in the game.
